Is it possible to rise above minimum wage with a slight speech impediment and a useless college degree?

Hello, I have a degree in Kinesiology. I was planning on becoming a physical therapist, but was unable to get into doctorate school for my DPT.

I have a slight speech impediment where I "swallow" certain words or I can't get the words out. I've done a lot of speech therapy on my own, so it's somewhat manageable. But it gets way worse when I'm under stress.

I've been working part time, minimum-wage jobs since graduating college. I feel like I'm very capable, but I can't express it in an interview or when I meet someone. People most likely think I'm mentally handicapped when they first meet me.

Is it possible for someone like me to get a job above minimum wage? Something in a low-stress, office environment. I consider myself pretty capable and articulate, and of course I'm willing to learn whatever skills I need. I just don't know what to do.
