How to handle being a contractor but not much interested in my current team past the contract length? I'm interested in another group within the company

I am a contractor through a staffing agency. I'm definitely not interested in becoming a full-time employee of my current team (took his contract job out of desperation) and I'm interested in another group within the company which is a better fit with my background. What is the best approach to make this happen?
