I have recently taken a leave of absence from my current job to take care of my family (not gonna specify to prevent post removal) I now have a lot of time on my hands and feel like i am not making the most out of it. I have been working on my music and have gained a lot of my inspiration back but have been also smoking a lot of weed and playing a lot of video games. My job hasn't legitimately laid me off and they are still operating but i wouldn't be surprised if they end up replacing me.
I have sent out multiple applications on indeed for remote work and have recently thought of maybe doing some sort of remote volunteering. I have also been thinking of maybe taking a different career path. i have just under 6 years of experience in the medical field but most of my skills lie in administrative work and tbh i never enjoyed it. Since I am 26 I feel I still have time to redirect my life but am having trouble to figure out exactly i want to do. That being said, any way i decide to go will involve me explaining what i did during this time gap.
What are some good volunteering or skill building sites i can look into? or simpler how do i explain my actions during this time to future employers?
