Hello everyone, I have seen this topic on this sub a handful of times and have been trying to convert them all into advice for my situation but am having trouble.
I have a job offer from a company (A) that seems like it would be... OK... ish. The process with this company has been very quick but they know that their bottom line is not as high as I need, after a panel interview earlier this week they offered me a job just 2 days later. I have 48 hours to let them know.
There is another company (B) that I know I would love to work for that I have been interviewing with for months (delays due to holidays and illness). I had a panel interview with them the day after my other interview with (A) and was told that I was one of two candidates still in the running and the interviews in general seemed to go very well. They said they want this person to start "eminently" and the person I asked said he was frustrated with the delays. I really want to work for this company and feel there is a chance that I could hear back by the end of the week (which is when (A) needs me to let them know).
My question is: Should I reach out to (B) to let them know that I have another offer? I like to be transparent, but would hate to make them feel like I am adding any undue pressure to the situation or using this as a tactic to increase any potential offer they might make. If it helps, I work in the tech industry. Would love any insights here and I am sorry for posting something that has been discussed, this is obviously a huge decision for my family so I would prefer some direct advice - hopefully you all understand!
