Hi! So my SO had to quit his job last December because he was working 7 days a week, the business was starting to do some illegal things, and he was not getting paid. He was also misclassified as a contractor so he can’t get unemployment. He’s currently working on that though.
He has been regularly applying for countless positions since December and he only got two interviews. He graduated with honors in business and finance and has a few years doing consulting work, and other business work such as book keeping, accounting, financial planning, and all the related work. His resume and cover letters look quality and some feedback from a family friend who recruits for a living says he has a solid resume that should be getting calls.
He’s been constantly stressed about it and can’t pay his bills anymore. He keeps applying but all I can do is emotionally support him. What can be done about this? I just wish I could hand him a job and cure all his troubles, but I can’t do anything aside from help him apply and hope when he’s losing it.
