Working abroad

I am an American student. I will be graduating in May of this year. I am very interested in working in the UK in a specific industry and have been applying to jobs that I am qualified for but either don't here back or get rejected without an interview. I am wondering if sponsoring someone to work in the UK at an entry level position is just not worth it for these companies or if I should just keep at it.
