Backstory:
My pre everything trans girl friend is facing a lot of discrimination when looking for a job, to the point that she is constantly talking about suicide or prostitution. Also she was teaching kids and got fired when she came out...
What are some trans friendly jobs?
My friend has, what I think it is, barely any qualifications: high school, two languages, 4 years of part time teaching English and an unfinished degree.
She wants to exercise her right to work and to be treated with dignity.
I try to provide solutions but I only get scorned or yelled at so I don't know what to do.
And yes, I asked if she wanted solutions or support and she said help, which I guess it ranges from suggesting career paths to using my network to try to find something.
Honestly I find myself walking on eggshells and I sometimes think she just wants to nitpick and argue over everything rather than have a constructive argument.
She is making a lot of effort looking for a job but I feel like it is "unproductive" / "low-yield" (?). I mean, she is blindly applying to everything online, she gets there, and feels instantly rejected and mocked.
I think this is not a good strategy for getting a job, i think it has a very low success chance and is also detrimental to her mental health.
