I’m 17 and will be starting college in April. I just moved to a new area and decided I needed to get a job, but I have a few issues.
Firstly, and one of the biggest ones, I do not have a drivers license yet. I won’t have one until this July, so it severely narrows my job choices. Aside from a lot of places requiring licenses, I just feel really embarrassed if I were to have my mother drop me off at work every day.
Now secondly, I have really bad social anxiety. My first job was as a food preparer and cashier, and I really struggled with learning the ropes of my job. I became overwhelmed easily and would take every mistake I made so seriously. I would cry after my shifts if my till was a dollar short or if I couldn’t find something instead of just asking one of my coworkers. It’s stupid, I know, but I couldn’t help it. I just hate working retail & food.
For the time being, I’m hoping someone could point me towards an online job that would help solve both of these problems- so that I don’t have to worry about anxiety or driving for the time being. I’d really appreciate it, as I’ve been struggling to find online work that is a steady source of income. Thank you guys in advance!
