I live in Great Falls, Montana and work at a small food processing company. I've been working there on and off for about 7 years now. I've never really had issues with payment until recently (although a few of my checks have arrived late in the past). I've worked one full pay period last month and haven't received my money. I asked my boss yesterday morning about the late paycheck (I receive it by mail). When I discussed this with him he said I should have received it by now and was really upset with me for asking. He then threatened to deduct my hours and pay because I had simply asked why I haven't received it yet. I specifically told him I go outside my house and check the mailbox every day and I didn't receive it. He then told me I might have lost it. I knew that wasn't true because I would never lose something so valuable. I have 2 grandchildren and literally live paycheck to paycheck so I would never do that. I'm not sure what to do right now because I've looked everywhere and I check my mailbox every day. I looked in my car, I called my bank, etc. I have credit card bills, student loans, car payments and I can't pay anything right now. I'm not looking to take legal action but I'm not sure if this is okay.
