I just went through a 2 week IT training course with potential full time salary job offers at the end. I ended up getting the job offer along with most people.
Now this is the best position Ive had in my life (Im 23). This is such a great opportunity to get into the IT world and start a career at a decent starting pay.
Now to my question...
Ive stretched the truth a lot on my resume because Im a permanent resident of the USA through marriage and thought it wouldnt matter since employers over here wouldnt really check my job history where I used to live (the UK).
This new job Im about to start is obviously now conducting background checks through usafact.com
Im wondering how far can a background check go if Ive only had jobs abroad and this job requires no prior experience anyway.. would they just be checking for crimes?
Ive obviously been cleared through USCIS as I have a green card and can live here forever.
