Alright so im a 20 year old guy and i recently started working at a tech shop. (Been there 4 days).
While i was being interviewed i was asked if i was interested/available for a full-time or a part-time job. My response was "i dont mind which one im available for both" so they hired me full-time!
For the first few days i was assigned to only work 4 hours a day.(tomorrow i officialy start the 8 hour shift)
The problem is... i feel like i just cant for the LIFE of me handle the 8 hours :/
I overthink things and i start stressing out about everything... plus theres alot u need to learn.
- working the register
- a program for orders
- a program for sales
- where every item in the store is placed
- plus other tiny bits that are complex in a way.
I feel like im annoying my other co-workers by constantly asking for help, also some of them act like i should already know how to do certain stuff, even though they havent even taught me yet, either that or they just showed me 1 time and i forgot :/
My question is, i have a contract to work until the end of March... Full-time. They already made the Schedule and everything. Is there any possibility to negotiate me working full time for the rest of the month? and start off march doing part-time? Or am i obligated to work until march full-time?
Also... they havent given me a copy of my contract for some reason ( i think the owner just forgot :/)
