I'm an aspiring entrepreneur who can't seem to cut the cord with being an employee. Before I decide to take the next step going full-time with my side hustle, I'm interested in exploring careers that have extremely flexible, remote positions. I am only interested in professional positions that pay above a living wage and/or with long term high earning potential. I know this is a thing in writing, where it is completely (or nearly completely) project-based with deadlines but freedom to work whenever, wherever. It seems that many tech roles are like this but potentially with more requirements to meet with a manager or team in real time. Ideally, I'm looking for something where I am completely in charge of setting my hours.
What other fields offer this? I understand much of what is available is highly specialized or otherwise inaccessible for the average person but I'd love to get a better understanding of the remote landscape. Part time, contractor, and any other alternative arrangement is fine.
