I was just fired after 4 months from my first salaried, full-time job out of college. I worked in freight forwarding and was a pricing coordinator. I'm 24 and have little experience. I was applying for jobs all this past summer and finally got this one and at first was obviously thrilled. However, they offered very little in terms of training. They basically just had me watch one other person for a little bit and called that my training. I felt overwhelmed and told this to my boss but he never offered me any real help aside from short, 15 minute meetings a couple of times. I knew I wasn't doing great in this role but definitely didn't think I was on the verge of being fired.
I've had one internship before this job, over the summer of 2018. I also have two people I can use as references from the job I was fired from. So my question is, what do I do now? Should I not put this job on my resume? I worked there for 4 months starting in September and graduated this past May so that would be a huge gap in my employment. I know if I leave it on employers will obviously ask why I only worked there for 4 months. I feel so incompetent and scared and worthless. Any and all advice would be great to hear right now.
