So I walked out of an interview today feeling like it was a great interview. Granted, they are urgently hiring and they are a SMALL SMALL company of toddler age. A legit company, yes, but they are still pretty small and young. I was sent an email with the body of the email stating all what they offer. Like, cut to the chase kind of email. It's got my title, salary, benefits, and start date. The email also asked for references, which I (don't know why, maybe I was desperate) accepted the offer and then sent my list of references in the same email.
Is this a legit contract? Is it binding? I know rushing into it was foolish and I'm already beating myself up over it. It's a small company so I wasn't expecting it to be like my last job; super official, an offer LETTER, a contract, employee handbook, etc. But it's my first small SMALL company and was wondering if this kind of offering is normal.
