Having a hard time selling myself in interviews.

I realize I can tell people what I did and how to do it. But I don’t know what to say to stand out above and beyond. I want to be the person they can’t refuse to hire because I am that damn good. I do have strengths, how do I portray that? Do I tell stories? Do I use fluff wordsNumbers? How can I tell people I bring awesomeness to the table? I am looking to change my career to software sales. I have never done it before and I have no connections.
