I (21F) am a Digital Press Operator in Pennsylvania at a print shop, where I have been an employee since October 2016.
I’m a college student (finishing her last year) and have balanced work and school at the same time. Back around August 2019 I asked for a raise and was agreed to work for $11.50 an hour vs the $10 I was working before.
I recently just checked my pay stub online since I do direct deposit (stupid me for not frequently checking) and I’m am STILL CURRENTLY WORKING FOR $10 after being promised in August 2019 for a $1.50 raise.
The pay stubs say non-negotiable. However, I feel there should be something to make up for the missed pay I obviously thought I was working for.
I go into work tomorrow morning and I am certainly addressing this issue. How do I go about remaining professional about this and (if possible) being paid respectively for the hours i worked?
EDIT: What are some options to negotiate if I can? Down below is a list I came up with, let me know if these sound reasonable. 1. Give me the $1.50 raise and pay me the hours I missed 2. Double the raise 3. If none of those work, quitting seems the best option
