My husband is a chef and is getting frustrated by this unprofessionalism from this other chef.
My husband is has a very "stick to the rules" attitude in the kitchen and he is a hard worker. This other guy... He is drinking on the job. And my husband absolutely hates it. Rightfully so!! It's not only unprofessional but dangerous to everyone in the kitchen and the customers!
I asked if other employees know about this and if the owner knows and he said he hides his drinks but he's pretty sure EVERYONE knows. This guy has the balls to asks the waitresses to bring him liquor and they are giving to him!! But no one is doing anything about it and it's driving my husband crazy.
This guy is obviously alcoholic, my husband says he buys liquor on the way home and drinks every night and on his days off he comes to the restaurant to drinks all day.
What can be done in this situation?? Is quitting the only answer? Is there a way we can do something anonymously.. He is getting paid well and he's okay with everything else but this dude..
I guess I should also mention that this guy is very buddy buddy with the owners... man, what a pain in the butt sort of situation ðŸ˜
