So short summary: I hate my new job of almost 3 months and I want my old job back.
I’ve been contemplating contacting my old boss to ask about the possibility of coming back.
I know ther is a chance she can just say no and that possibly it won’t matter when I contact her, but what would be the day my inquiry may be best received?
Things are so bad at my new job I want to contact her on Monday but I know that with New Years Eve and New Year’s Day, her office will be closing and there is a chance she is on vacation.
Should I wait until after this week to get the final holiday over with? Or just take the chance of contacting her Monday? I know Monday also has the reputation of being a bad/busy day anyway without it being the one just after Christmas and before New Years.
I want to know my chances of coming back ASAP for my own sanity and so I know if there is no chance of me being rehired and to begin looking elsewhere.
TL;DR Should I take the chance of contacting my old boss for my job back on Monday? Or should I pick a different day or wait until after New Years?
