I just received a job offer with a little bit smaller of a base salary than I was expecting, but they are saying they will make up for it with 15,000 shares in the company. He said it’s hard to know exactly what the “strike price” will be, but somewhere around $0.75 per share. I know that they are currently valued around $1.2B and are in their class H of funding, but it’s really hard for me to understand what this actually means for me financially. I know it would be around $11,250 in equity and that they plan on an IPO in a couple of years, but how can I truly measure what these shares are and will be worth for me?
