I am a female working in a male dominated industry. I have been at my current job just under 2 years and have now gotten 3 offers at competing firms so I am 100% quitting my job soon. The office I work in has a toxic culture and it has affected my mental health for months now. Within the office, I work in a small group of 5 people including me. One of the people in my group, let's call him Bill, has been extremely difficult to work with. Bill and I have worked on a couple projects together. He is senior to me and could be a great resource of information when I have questions, but that has not been the case. Bill is very condescending towards me, will roll his eyes whenever I talk, interrupt me in conversations, and just not communicate helpful information that could be beneficial to the team. I approached my boss and group leader and they ultimately said they did not witness this occurring so could not do anything. When I met with HR, she told me I could just be "too sensitive". I had many witnesses to this behavior who corroborated my side of the story but HR did an investigation and decided that Bill has done nothing to violate company policy.
So ultimately I will be quitting. My question for everyone here is how do I quit and stay on good terms? Do I outline this situation as the reason I am quitting? Keep it vague?
