How Unprofessional is it to Leave a Temp Job and How Should I Communicate to my Manager(s)?

I graduated college back in May and went on a multi-month trip overseas to visit family abroad and a little travel. I got back from the trip pretty desperate to start paying off student debts, car loans, and rent. I was job searching for a job in the field I wanted to do to no avail, and a temp agency reached out to me and got me a job doing receptionist type work for $15 an hour. The contract was supposed to be only 4 weeks but they were quite desperate and offered to extend it to the end of the calendar year the day they called me to accept the offer letter. I accepted and I have been here for 6 weeks now.

It's an easy job and I get a lot of free time throughout the day in front of my desk. I get to browse reddit, read the news, I have too much free time. And as much as I love getting paid $15 an hour to browse reddit, I quickly found myself having little to no income left after allocating it to all the things I need to pay for. I applied and got a job offer that paid $28 an hour that still wasn't the job I'd like, but it'll pay the bills and its a serious position and I'll actually be doing something rewarding.

My question is now how do I break it to my managers? How accepting will they be about it if I tell them that this job is not financially supporting the debts and bills I need to pay? I never worked for a temp agency before and I am assigned a manager through them (the person who got me the job), I heard about temp manager getting upset about terminating contracts? I would also reach out to my manager for the company I'm working for as well.

Any advice how to approach this to both my managers? Should I draft a lengthy e-mail letting them know of the situation or call them? I'm afraid it'll ruin me getting future jobs and being bad-mouthed. I don't want to burn any bridges and while I thought about sticking it out for another 6 weeks to finish it, the job offer is hard to come by especially almost double what I'm being paid now and I don't want to lose it.

They want me to start next week which is also a hard situation that I can't give the 2 week notice.
