The job posting listed the starting salary as $17/hour. Because this is only my second job, and I only made $13/hour at my last one, I don’t feel comfortable asking for the full pay because I might seem greedy and could tempt the manager to hire someone else or pay me less. I didn’t do very well on the interview but I was still hired for the position, so I’m hesitant to ask for the full amount. On the other hand I really want to earn the full pay that was advertised though, since this will be a full-time job for me and I really need to earn as much money as possible. What should I do in this situation?
TLDR: I don’t feel very qualified for the job I was offered and the starting salary is much higher than at my last one. I still want to be paid in full like the other people that work there though. Recommendations?
