Tips for getting a job out of state?

I live in a less than desirable area and work at the only employer around that I can. This leaves no room for career growth. I’ve been with the same company for 6 years. I keep applying to similar roles out of state but can’t seem to land any. I recently had a promising opportunity that was even a step up from what I am doing now and that didn’t even pan out. It’s hard to not be discouraged when you get rejected so many times. I know I’m a good employee, I’m a hard worker and I’m just looking to better myself in a better area for my family. Has anyone had luck finding work out of state? Any tips? Also any tips for how to keep pursuing jobs when you start to feel the pains of rejection? TIA.
