When I applied to my job, I asked for 4 dollars more/hr than what they offered me. They told me I couldn't make any more because I didn't have enough early childhood credits yet (I'm currently taking a class that they're paying for to earn more college credits). I already have 5 credits and I need 1 more to be a lead teacher. The class I'm taking is 3 credits.
The other day, a coworker who has no credits informed me that she makes a dollar more than I do. Is telling my boss that I should make the same as this coworker an appropriate way to ask for a raise? I believe I should be making AT LEAST as much as her, if not more.
