How can I get a job if no past retail experience yet other type of experience?

I’m 22 and never worked. However I have done various volunteer work and internships. This obviously means I have dealt with people and had to learn to adapt to my new tasks and what not. I just don’t know how to show to stores that i am able to transfer those skills. I know customer service is sought after and I have experience in communicating with people even in sensitive situations. Hell, I’m even good with technology.

It frustrates me that I don’t get hired not even contacted for an interview because of no retail experience. Yet when I apply for paid internships, i get called for interviews (I already had too much going on in the moment which I regret not taking it).
