MAIN QUESTION: I tried googling this question and turned up basically nothing, so I’m hoping someone here can help me! How do other countries (specifically in Europe) feel about job hopping?
BACKGROUND: I was at company A for 6 years and left to pursue more opportunity for growth. I hated the culture at company B but stuck it out for 11 months before leaving for a similar role in a more competitive industry that aligned with my personal interests. Now, I am 6 months into company C, and my department was just completely restructured and I want out.
My new responsibilities hardly even resemble the job I was hired to do, and in fact, most of my day is spent doing a specific task that I hate so much that I asked about it in my interview. I was assured would not be part of my position. I know jobs change over time and I believe I’m adaptable, but spending all day cold-calling is really detrimental to my emotional health. /:
Anywho, I just applied for a job with a company based in Europe that is essentially my dream job and company. It is a remote position in the USA, but I’m curious to know how two short stints in a row will be perceived by people from a different culture! Please let me know if you have any experience to share.
EDIT: realized it’s probably relevant to mention my industry, I work in software now and the specific company that I am excited about is a software startup.
