I'm 18 and in my senior year of highschool, and have never had a job. I'm starting to worry that this may have an effect on my getting a job in college / after college, but my summers have always been pretty busy, as well as my school year. Some of my friends have jobs, and a lot of the time they end up getting home at 11:00 or so after closing. I can't see myself getting home at 11:00 and having time to do homework, as I'm taking some more challenging classes and trying to mantain my 4.0 GPA. In addition, I'm heavily involved in music and am drum major of our band this year, and am in a few other bands, so around 4-5 of my evenings each week are taken up by a 2 hour or so rehearsal, as well as all of the performances and competitions. All of this to say, what kind of work did you do in highschool? Did you still have time for everything else? If I don't end up getting a job, how will this effect me later on? Any information or advice is greatly appreciated.
