Sorry for any typos, I’m trying to get this out quickly. To keep this short, my mom is in the process of separating from my dad and this situation will likely be messy/dangerous for her. She has a lawyer and family members alerted, but I probably need to go home to be with her (he will behave if I am there). The thing is, I would have to literally go tomorrow (I would come back Tuesday). So not a lot of warning for the job I started 2 months ago. I would be able to work while there and on the way back. My question is, is it okay to ask my boss for this time? How do I communicate this to him (and how much of this is appropriate to communicate, e.g. I don’t want to say oh I have to go home so my dad won’t destroy our house when my mom tells him again that she’s leaving him)
