Can I say I never had a job before even though I did

My last job, which was my first job, didn’t end well and I wasn’t there very long. I’m afraid to tell my future employer that I worked here because if they reach out to my old boss I’m afraid he’s gonna put in a bad word about me. I’m only 16 so my resume isn’t very expansive
