I graduated from community college in 2018 for Computer Systems Technology which is just Baby’s first IT. Ive always been in retail, but my last few jobs have been in telecommunications retail. I’m tired of it, really tired, and want to get into data entry or, even better, clerical work in general in an office. Ive already changed my resume (and tweak it for each job) to be more about clerical duties than selling things. But does anyone else have tips for spicing up the resume or cover letter to let people know I’m more than my retail background? Nobody is responding to me and I don’t know if Im trying too hard or what. Should I condense my resume to one page or keep it two with nice formatting? Should I be doing more?
Ive also been applying to IT jobs but they want certs and I’m too poor to get the certs right now because I’m between jobs.
