Hi! I work as a field worker for a child services agency. My job requires me to walk around the home/community with my client throughout the day.
This morning (Sunday), without getting gory, I wounded the bottom of my right foot pretty bad. I can’t walk on it without a lot of pain. I can’t put any weight on it and it’s pretty swollen.
Because my work involves being on my feet, I feel like I should call out. However, I feel bad calling out for an injury. I’m not currently planning on going to the doctor because it’s a cut, I cleaned and dressed it, and I am up to date on tetanus. I’m worried if I don’t have a doctor’s note my supervisor will be skeptical of me.
Should I call out tomorrow? Should I get a doctor’s note?
