So basically I work at an animal hospital and it’s been almost a year. I worked a few times with this one terrible women. She is old now (70’s even though she seems younger) and so mean. She has worked at this place for over 20 years now.
She doesn’t like anybody except this one other receptionist who doesn’t even like her. The women’s daughter complains to us about how mean her mom is to her. She yells at everyone. She makes many mistakes but flips out when someone else makes one. She made multiple coworkers of mine cry. People have quit because of her. Clients have avoided her. She’s even made clients cry and there are negative reviews about her. Basically nobody likes her because she is so mean. I’m pretty sure my boss is scared of her honestly and won’t fire her.
Lately my boss even questioned everyone one by one about her because she honestly has hurt the business and there’s other stuff. Everyone told the truth about how she’s nasty and he did NOTHING. I literally got yelled at when I would work with her. Some coworkers of mine who haven’t had to work with her said they would straight up leave and walk out if they had to. I don’t even know what to do the next time I have to work with her. I’m 21 years old and honestly she scares me. I already have bad anxiety and was literally shaking once when working with her because she was that mean to me. Boss doesn’t seem to care until she is hurting the business. It’s terrible sitting upfront with her (2 receptionist at a time) and being yelled at for every little thing you do.
Obviously she will be here till she dies she’s even said it and she actually makes me want to get out of this place (not the only reason but you know). How would you deal with her!?
