I have been job searching for 4 months now. I have an undergraduate degree and relevant research experience. I spent a year working abroad in a research org, and now I am back in my home country trying to find work. Every position I apply for has really specific selection criteria, and it is making me feel as though I am not qualified or do not have the knowledge to do anything.
It's killing my self esteem, as I know that I am intelligent, well qualified and experienced but I feel as though these jobs are extremely specific, aka designed for someone who's left the EXACT same position at a different company.
How do I mitigate this? Its destroying my motivation to apply for anything because I feel as though I'm going to get straight out rejected.
