Let me preface with I'm not looking for new work right at the moment. I use linkedin pretty regularly to keep in touch with other business contacts. I've been in this role for over a year now, and with the company for several, and thoroughly enjoy my work - the company has even very clearly expressed vested interest in my growth in the role both financially and as a career path, and my peers and our customers often commend my work.
The issue is that presently, I'm the only individual in the role, and with the volume of work I handle there's no need for an additional person besides maybe a backup. I log in to linkedin and see I showed up in several searches this week, and on a lark decide to look - and my employer is among the searcher results, under the exact phrasing of my present job title.
Am I just being paranoid? Should I ask someone? I don't want to put myself in a weird place if it's not something that's going to affect me, but I can't help but feel a little anxious about it.
