Hi all, just a different scenario I’ve run into than other interviews in the past and I’m interested if anyone has any insight.
I applied for a remote/work from home job a few weeks ago. I had a half hour phone screen with the HR rep, then a 1hr phone call with the department lead. I then did a 1hr zoom call with the department lead and main sysadmin. After that, they scheduled an in person interview with the department lead (I’m flying into his city and meeting at a working space for about 2.5 hrs and flying out same day) next week and asked for my references. They called my references and took the job posting down. I’ve never had this order happen before, usually the reference check has been the last step in the process. It sounds like I should hopefully be one of their final choices, but has anyone run into this scenario before? Any insight is appreciated!
