As the title says I have an opportunity to interview for a dream job in another state. They want to me to fly out on on a Wednesday evening to return on Friday evening after two days of interviews.
The travel doesn't bother me, but I'm wondering if there's a recommended approach to handling the request for time off with my current employer. I'm assuming I'll have to lie, but I'd like to be as tactful as possible. I'm not a shoo-in for the positioning I'm interviewing for by any means so I don't want to piss of my current employer.
Has anyone been in this position and how did you handle it?
