I currently work at a shitty summer job until I go back to college. I know I will never be back in this area again meaning I know I wont be reapplying for this position ever again.
My boss told my co-worker that he will be releasing me of my job early without telling me. Later that day he calls me during work to tell me how he doesn't want to pay me anymore for reasons which I disagree but cant argue against/not worth my time.
I would be officially done my job early/mid August so it's not the biggest deal in the world to quit now. However, what would be the best thing to do for the sake of my future employment?
I would like to make the most money I can during my summer time but is it worth the permanent record of being fired?
Will employers really care about me being fired from this one job when I have numerous other jobs on my resume aswell as internships and self employed positions?
Also, when it comes to quitting of course the benefit would be to avoid having a fired mark on your personal records. But how exactly does this work? How long would it take for my boss to officially fire me? If I asked him if he was going to release me of my position and when could he try and fire me on the spot so I couldn't just quit?
All feedback is much appreciated as I dont know the legalities behind these two topics.
