So I asked to be moved away by management from a coworker who I think is giving me anxiety. He does nothing at work except gets up every 20 minutes to refill his cup with water and ice. He fills his cup with ice to the brim and munches or plays with it in his mouth as he lays back in his chair and does nothing but stares out at the room. He pushes out his chair far back as if to watch what everyone else is doing and then he tosses his dirty earbuds on my mouse when he gets up. When he speaks to me he stares out into oblivion and doesn't directly look at me. On top of this he acts like he's better by saying he feels bad for people who have student debt because he doesn't have any since his parents paid for everything. He doesn't bother to make friends at work but says he has friends and he never socializes or participates. I asked for my seat to be moved but I am not sure if this is the best idea because besides being okay with the place I sit he's the only one stirring up tension. I can't stand all that ice playing, sound of him drinking water or soda all day. What to do? Should I stay at my seat or move and have tongues wagging at work? I asked him to stop several times and he says he forgot but then keeps playing with the ice. Would it make me look like the bad guy?
