-- and don't ever include "I'm looking for someone entry level with some experience so they know at least what to do" in any dialogue, job post, conversation, anywhere...
If you're just going to send a rejection email after I had to send you a follow up email 1 month later (@ my readers, don't worry I moved on from this opportunity the moment I finished the in-person interview) and to tell me "it was a difficult decision but we went with somebody with more experience so they would be able to adjust to the large volume of the job function better."
Don't even use "entry level" anywhere. if. you. are. going. to. look. for. somebody. with. previous. experience!
You don't know me and you don't know what I'm capable of, and that applies to everybody applying to this "entry level" position of yours, so why are you wasting 6 other people's time in your organization to see what I can do, ONLY THEN TO TELL ME "this is exactly what you cannot do & the reason I'm not going to offer you the position." Like ???? Do you think, ever? You literally do not know me.
:/ Honestly, yes I moved on the moment I stepped out those doors but why ...why are HMs such a hypocrites!??? Her and I had a whole conversation about how she created this role to give opportunity to people who need their first chance...??? Maybe she felt that I could relate to it too well because literally nobody wants me.
I feel like I dodged a bullet also, because if the person I directly report to cannot be consistent with what she says-- then I'm not comfortable under her management.
About the job I applied for: yes it falls under the "dream job" category for me. Yes, the pay is amazing (yeah some reason we discussed and negotiated this), there's great benefits, it's literally "dream job" for me-- well, meh.
Thanks for reading/you're not the only one experiencing this/job hunting sucks/it's gonna be ok (I hope).
