A few weeks ago, I was offered a position at a great institution that I would have easily transitioned into, but I knew that I needed to be uncomfortable and challenged in order to advance my career and foster my professional growth.
So, I decided to turn down the offer so that I could continue pursuing an opportunity I had little experience but great enthusiasm in, with no guarantee that I’d land it. And it paid off! To everyone in all stages of their career: trust your instincts, know your worth, and embrace the process. ✊🏼
