I just graduated high school and am about to choose a major for college, and I’ve always had a passion for marine biology. The usual course to becoming a marine biologist is to study general biology or chemistry/engineering etc. in college then move on to study a specific field in marine biology in grad school. However i can’t afford grad school, and I’ve always heard that it’s difficult to find a job with a (marine) biology bachelor degree.
Taking that into consideration, I’m thinking about choosing computer science, because everyone says that it almost guarantees a job after graduation, and most likely a high-paying one. I don’t have any interest in computer science, but I can learn it if I must.
I’m really stressing about this, please can anyone tell me how I should choose?
