I recently graduated from my Masters and have been applying for several machine learning and AI positions. I recently had a very horrible experience with a phone interview that is causing me a lot of stress, anxiety and anger.
I am a brown male but my voice isn't deep and with most phone interviews, the interviewer asks multiple times "is this XYZ"(my name is not actually the same as my username, it is a very Pakistani name). I laugh it off and tell them my voice just doesn't sound good on the phone then proceed with the initial screening interview, they ask for another time to call me for a more detailed follow up interview and then I don't hear anything back.
This has happened multiple times, and the most recent one has me on edge and extremely angry. Is there anything I can do?
