Hello, so I am currently a host at my job but I am able to do food running and bussing at the same time if they really need help. I was told that I am the best host and a lot of my coworkers are wondering why I am not being promoted yet. A person who just got here a month ago (Ive been there for almost a year) already got promoted to server and my manager made me train him how to foodrun and host and I felt really embarassed. I already asked my manager why I am always a host and she told me that everyone else who is host manages to mess things up but me. I then asked her if I can be server any time soon and she said once I put 3-4 days a week for availability (I've been doing 2 to 3), then I can become server. So I did that and I got 3 days as host and 1 as food runner. My family and my friends say I am just being used and that It would be a loss for the company if they promoted me to a server since I am the best at hosting.
