I feel like I’m taking too much on at work with no added compensation, want insight

Per the title, this is how I feel about my current position. I just started with a new medical office in March with an office administrator role. I take care of everything under the sun in regards to scheduling, making sure PTs are aware of their procedure dates and times, insurance, bill payments, and now I’m being trained to be a medical assistant to my doctor (actually, rereading this before I post, there are tons of things I haven’t mentioned that I do but it would take too much time. I just do a lot that I feel two to three people should be doing).

We are a very small specialist practice so it’s me and two other people and then the doctor. I was brought on only to be in the office side of things as there is a procedure scheduler and a medical assistant. The MA is fresh out of high school and my boss has hinted I would be taking on her role since the previous MA just left.

I feel like I’ve been in this position way too short to mention any compensation for the extra roles I’ve been taking on because now I will also be doing something the procedure scheduler does.

This job is also very stressful - as in I do not have 5 minutes in the day to respond to personal emails and such. It’s constant work which takes a lot of time to finish. And I don’t think my boss really understands how much it is.

Am I expecting too much?
