Creating this thread to see if other people think this is a legit offer that I should pursue or if it's a fake scam/sham.
So I work at CVS as a cashier and this 50-something year old guy I was ringing up started to make conversation with me. One thing led to another and he ended up asking me for my contact info, gave me his business card and over text, he asked to meet up to talk business next week.
A description of what he does (I'm assuming) is under his name on the card and it says "Income Expansion & Time Leveraging". I have no clue what that is. I'll look it up later after work but I wasn't sure if this was a real job description or not.
We were talking about our education and he told me that he majored in engineering in both undergrad and grad school. He was an electrical engineer for 32 years but retired to start his own business and he's been doing that since.
He does have a linkedIn profile but it doesn't have much info except his education and where he currently works. It also says he's a small business owner. No picture of him.
He has a website for his job and imo, it looks a bit amateurish but I won't judge based on that.
This is what I got from About Us page. "We work in partnership with the top brands in today's marketplace". He seems to deal with some kind of online marketing brand.
Ok so a few seconds ago I had the bright idea to google a paragraph from his website because it sounded a little too generic and literally a hundred other webpages came up looking just like it with the exact same paragraph. Is it safe to say this is a shitty scam?
This is what I searched if you guys wanna take a look.
"We make our customers' lives simpler with the convenience of online shopping. We offer exclusive products from the industry leader in the online health and beauty market. We also enjoy a close affiliation with major national brands, including Dell™, Disney™, and many more."
