Is there anyone else who feels like they know they can do anything they put their mind to but are too introverted to sell that same confidence to interviewers?
I don’t have any formal experience in my desired field and am currently too broke to pursue a designation to help me stand out. I have been searching for a job for 4 months now and I have had no luck. I have resorted to a part-time retail sales position because I need money, but don’t want to be stuck in retail for my whole life.
I graduated a year ago and got a job with what was unbeknownst to me; probably the scummiest company in my area. It was taking a toll on my mental health and wasn’t what I wanted to end up doing anyways, so I resigned after 8 months.
I am unfairly disappointed in myself as per usual, and I know my family is frowning about the whole thing too - but I value my happiness far more than a hefty paycheque.
I’m getting really discouraged and don’t know how to make myself stand out. Is there anyone else who feels this way/overcame this?
