i had a desk assembly job for about a year making 12 an hour.
recently they started making all the lower level employees do heavy labor a few days a week disassembling recalled items. which is really difficult work that takes all my energy. 2 employees already quit mid shift in the last month cause they job was too much.
and now to keep up with demand they are forcing us to work 60 hours a week 7 days a week. normally i work 7-4 m-f. now we gotta start at 5am and i got a 1 hour commute.
im also exposed to this glue dust that coats the inside of my nose and ears and clothes. i noticed ive been coughing alot and im afraid its in my lungs.
i almost quit on the spot today cause i got a big cut on my arm trying to do the job with inadequate tools. i live with my parents so its not a big deal if i quit but i just wanted to hear some input.
