Good day everyone,
i have been offered a better job that pays more then living wage and i won’t be the only chef in a kitchen. Yep, I work at a restaurant as the only chef and currently on living wage.
I handed my notice in and offered two weeks notice as I have not signed or agreed to a contract that states I need to give more notice. However my current boss is trying to force me to the 4 week notice that was unknown to me and I have no contract in writing so this can’t be proved.
what should I do?
I have agreed to my new job and have asked to try to change the join date. Every other chef we did have just walked out leaving me in the dog house but I’m been professional and been hit with a higher notice period with no evidence I need to.
