we lost someone's pay

My co worker was the one who shared the money but I've touched the box that contained it, moved it from one place to another and there's a chance I lost it. If I was the one who lost it, the money should have been found in our office but it wasn't there. Anyway, since our boss is evil and that I have cash, I volunteered to pay for it and that we should have an agreement. She'd pay the half when she gets cash.

Should I make her sign a paper saying that she'd repay me? I Don't want her to think I Don't trust her but she tends to blame me for everything and I'm scared she won't repay me.
