Ok so as the title says I don't know if this is obvious, but applying for jobs takes me so much less energy with my new approach so I wanted to share, it's super simple: In the first half of the week, I only gather job openings (in my bookmarks), in the second half I only write for them. Depending on your situation you could of course alternate days or parts of the day (most people prefer busy work (gathering) in the afternoon), or start writing after every, say, 8 bookmarked job openings.
This genuinely helped me so much, when I searched for a suitable job opening (took a lot of time) and applied right away (took a lot of effort) I was d r a i n e d afterwards. Now that I split it up I kind of enjoy it! I can now fully allow the search to be the chaotic process that it is (20 tabs open), and I can't/don't procrastinate on writing the applications anymore because I don't have 20 tabs to deal with lol.
